A Holi Sugar Rush
After a day of color chaos, it’s time for us to indulge in the sweet side of Holi! Let’s explore the delightful (and slightly dangerous) treats that make this festival even more enjoyable.
First up, gujiya—the sweet dumpling that’s as addictive as it is delicious. We tell ourselves we’ll have just one, but before we know it, we’ve devoured an entire plate. “What’s that? More gujiya?” we ask, as if we’re under a spell. It’s like they multiply when we’re not looking!
And then there’s bhang, the magical ingredient that turns our sweet treats into a party in our mouths. We sip on bhang lassi, and suddenly everything is hilarious. “Did we just see our cousin dance like a peacock? Yes, yes we did!” It’s the sweet nectar of joy that makes us forget about the color stains on our clothes.
As the day winds down, we find ourselves in a sugar coma. We collapse on the couch, surrounded by empty plates of sweets, contemplating our life choices. “Why did we think eating a dozen gujiyas was a good idea?” we ask ourselves, as we drift off into a sugar-induced nap.
So, as we indulge in the sweet treats of Holi, let’s remember to embrace the sugar rush and the inevitable sugar coma that follows. It’s all part of the colorful chaos that makes this festival so special!
Happy Holi!
